Schwarzarbeiten
Nachdem ich neun Jahre an den Hinter-Licht-Bildern gearbeitet habe – halbtransparente Malerei auf Nessel, von der Rückseite beleuchtet – knipste ich das Licht unvermittelt aus. Es entstand ein Bilderzyklus auf schwarzer Leinwand, die Schwarzarbeiten.
Durch das Übermalen mit Weiß von den Bildrändern ließ ich langsam neue Symbolformen entstehen, die meiner Erfahrung in dieser Zeit entsprachen.
